When you stay at the Madison Historic Hotel, you'll enter a lifestyle true to the Western heritage, but with the indulgences of civilization you'll surely appreciate, as compared to the time when it was originally constructed. Setting the mood for seeing Yellowstone and step back into the early 1900's by staying in the historic Madison Hotel. Whether you're just in for the night, or here for a few days or even a week, these rooms are just the retreat you need. Though the rooms are not sound proof as they were built in the 1912-1920 years, you do get to enjoy the sounds of nature.
All Hotel and Hostel rooms are located on the second floor. STAIR ACCESS ONLY.
In room WIFI, you need to be very cognizant of the sound from your devices as the rooms are not sound proof, common courtesy starts with you, report problems and we will gladly assist you.
Queen and King size beds available in the Hotel rooms, private baths with old fashioned claw-foot bathtubs, and antique furnishings. All rooms have AC seasonally when we are not experiencing freezing temperatures.
Only the original, 6 Hotel rooms are European Hostel style, utilizing the shared restroom and showers at the end of the hall. The other 6 rooms in the Hotel have private restrooms. All Hotel rooms are on the second level, located at the top of the stairs (no elevator).
All rooms have 24 hour access to the lobby, which has HD TV with Direct TV, couch and lounge chairs, and balcony that overlooks the Continental Divide, Two Top Mountain and Madison Canyon.
Sunday Night at 9:00 pm we regularly make SMORES in the lobby in the fireplace, as long as we are not under a fire restriction. Please come and share stories of what you experienced in the park and your recent travel experience.
